The Unity Anthem was not the 1st Time the Pair would have worked together, as they collaborated earlier on a Track titled – Ekam Satyam.

For this Show, Michael Jackson (MJ) flew in equipment in 3 Russian Cargo Planes.

This Event was organized by Shiv Udyog Sena, an outfit floated by the then Shiv Sena Leader – Raj Thackeray with the objective of providing jobs to 27 lakh Youth in Maharashtra.

MJ The King of Pop, arrived in Mumbai on October 30th,1996 at Mumbai’s Sahar Airport in his Private Jet. Lakhs of people had thronged the Airport to catch a glimpse of him.

During his stay at The Oberoi Hotel Mumbai, Jackson surprised the entire Oberoi Hotel Staff by mingling freely among his fans, who thronged at the Hotel to catch a glimpse of the ‘King of Pop’.

The Pop Star MJ, when being driven in a 20-Car Motorcade from the Airport, stopped his Toyota to meet the urchins lined up along the Highway to catch a glimpse of him.

MJ arrived in Mumbai on October 30 and was greeted in Traditional Indian Style by the Indian Actress Sonali Bendre.

The actress welcomed MJ by performing Aarti and applying Tilak on his forehead, at Mumbai Airport.
